Summary
Writing that she has just received her letter of February 1st, wondering where Lord Brougham could have sent it, expressing surprise that he had failed to mention that he had a letter for her from Blaze de Bury, as they frequently spoke of her together, and noting that she often thought him to be in low spirits, "though he appeared well & he was kind enough to come very often to see me"; expressing her hope that she has seen her son Julian (Fane) in Paris; informing her that she has been unable to obtain early numbers of the Saturday Review, and as she gave away her own copies in Brighton, she will not be able to send Blaze de Bury an "article on Socialism which I thought particularly good."; stating that she is going to Apethorpe "for a fortnight", after which she will return to "inhabit my new House no. 16 Cavendish Square", and adding that she will "anxiously look out for the forthcoming no. of the Quarterly."
