Summary
Thanking her for her kindness to Mrs. (Cecil) Fane during the latter's recent visit to Paris; responding with enthusiasm to Blaze de Bury's account of Meyerbeer's new opera, wishing she could see it in Paris, as "I shall never hear it to perfection in London I fear, altho' I hope Meyerbeer will be induced to come over to bring it out", observing that "It is a pity he got so stupid & uninteresting a Libretto for his Opera & I wonder he shd have undertaken it."; writing that she is pleased to hear of Blaze de Bury's plans to come to England that summer, although she regrets that it should be on account of her health, and informing her that they plan to relocate to London after Easter; stating that her son Julian had been with her for three months, but returned to Vienna six weeks ago, and that she will send him Blaze de Bury's account of Meyerbeer's "Le pardon de Ploërmel" (also known as Dinorah), as he is a great enthusiast of Meyerbeer, and will "take great interest in it"; enclosing a note to be forwarded to Mrs. (Cecil) Fane.
