Consists of: various gift receipts (5) from the Art Institute of Chicago regarding gifts from Maurice E. and Ruth Culberg and purchases from various galleries; typed letters signed (13) from Daniel Catton Rich and Chauncey McCormick, Chicago, to Maurice E. and Ruth Culberg, between 1950 and 1955 and regarding various gifts and contributions for the Art Institute of Chicago; collection of typed and autograph letters signed from various senders to Maurice E., Ruth, and Franka Culberg regarding gifts, personal and business matters, exhibition loans, catalog raisonnes, announcing board positions, inquiring about their Dubuffet collection, etc.; 6 typed pages titled Anticultural Positions, notes for a lecture given at the "Arts Club of Chicago" December 20, 1951 by Jean Dubuffet; autograph letter signed from Abraham Rattner, Champaign, Illinois, to Maurice E. Culberg, 1952 October 18, thanking him for all he has done and for sending the review XXe siecle and discusses his thoughts on the content; autograph letter signed from Pierre Matisse, New York, to Maurice E. Culberg have been designated Friends of the Art Institute of Chicago for their generous support and service, 1954; program of the Dedication Exhibition at the Jewish Community Center of Milwaukee which ran from January 30-February 20, 1955; typed loan agreement from the Museum of Modern Art for Arp's "Star seed" to be exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, from September 9-November 1958 and Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Minnesota, from November 25, 1958-January 3, 1959; typed letter signed from Philip Sparling, Chicago, to the Principal Creditors of Culberg Asbestos & Cork Co. and its two subsidiaries, Culberg Asbestos Cement Building Products Co. and Culberg Asbestos of Ohio, Inc., 1964 December 15, discussing the companies declaration of Chapter XI bankruptcy and giving an update on how the court proceedings went and the distribution and allocation of funds; printed invitation for the Jean Dubuffet exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, on Monday, February 19th; black and white photograph of Marc Chagall at the Art Institute of Chicago standing in front of his paintings, "Naissance" and "Rabbi of Vitebsk" with typed description signed by Katharine Kuh; various newspaper clippings about Culberg's collection of paintings and drawings, including Dubuffet, exhibitions, gift announcements to various institutions, and board position announcements.
