Asking how Ruth, Karl, and his daughter are; thanking him for the copy of Life with the three photographs of Culberg's house and reminiscing about the memories they shared there last year; updating Culberg on what he has been working on and materials with his paintings; adding that last summer he made some large drawings, some of which Pierre Matisse bought; stating that they are in the same package as the drawings for Culberg, which should arrive in New York in December and that there are also 3 other drawings in there for Frank Holland, Copeland Burg, and Mrs. Shaw; writing that Pierre Matisse will send the drawings to their recipients; saying that Culberg's drawing is titled "L'Homme poursuivi" (The chased man) and what it represents.
