Summary
Informing her that he has shown her letter to the Foreign Editor of the Star and that he likes it and would like to publish it "today", adding that "the tone of it suits him better than that adopted by their present correspondent", and that the editor plans on discussing the matter with the manager of the paper, noting that they have a contract with thir current correspondent but would be glad to have single letters from her, that they pay 1 guinea per letter, and that the letters must be "about a column" or shorter; complaining that he has himself been "nurtured in disappointment & misfortune" since he was twenty, including "loss of money, loss of friends and the cold regard, & sometimes contempt of the world for my best exertions."
