Summary
Conveying Mr. Reeve's response to her inquiry regarding the publication of a translation (of an unspecified work), stating that "the only chance of getting it published would be through some publisher of Roman Catholic" publications; mentioning that the Broglies are intimate with (Charles Forbes) Montalembert and that he might "manage it for them", but that Stigand is sure that there would be no other way as "The English public have a strong objection to anything treating the early Christian epoch ... some well meaning clergyman is always trying to dish out the Fathers" to suit modern English taste, but "it never succeeds"; agreeing to contact the Times (on her behalf) and saying that he is working on his poetry and hopes to complete a volume which he means to publish under another name.
