Summary
Informing her that he called on the Universal (Review) and was told that they would have the proofs (of her article) in a few days, adding that the editor told him that the writing was so clear that they did not think there would be much to correct, and that it should appear in July; stating that he saw the editor of the Stan(?) (i.e. The Standard?) and learned that they are dissatified with their Paris correspondent's pro-Austrian and anti-French views and have said that they would be willing to publish a letter from her if it suits their paper; offering to forward a manuscript to them should she choose to submit one, but adding that she "must not mind if it is not published", that he has enough experience with editors and their "slippery nature", although he believes this man would be "taken by a good & ingenious letter."
