Summary
Thanking her for sending him "the Correspondent" and promising to read it; informing her that he has made inquiries of the "Rev-people" on her behalf, but has learned that they already have a Paris correspondent "who has been on the paper since the foundation"; saying that he is going to see the editor of the Constitutional Review, although he does not know "whether that would be better than the Universal who I am sure would be glad of political articles"; further promising to visit the new editor of the Spectator, and saying that he will have more time to attend to her business next year, as he currently preoccupied with his legal work and his own literary production; promising to be careful with the article she has sent him and to not disclose the identity of the author until she thinks it requisite; expressing his hope that she will excuse his presumption in offering her suggestions regarding her article, explaining that he only wished to give her "hints on the points on which the public here are least informed."
