Summary
Informing her that he has received a response from Mr. (George Cornewall) Lewis (of the Edinburgh Review) concerning the possibility of her contributing to the journal, relaying Lewis's expressed concern over the number of engagements to be offered and "the uncertain prospect of room for additional contributors", as well as his promise to give her an answer should she propose a subject for an article; giving her Lewis's address, and asking her to notify him of the appearance of an upcoming review of his book, The creed of Christendom (London : Chapman, 1851), that is to be published in the Revue des deux mondes, or else to send him a copy when it appears.
