Informing her that he is at his cottage for the getting in of "a very fine harvest", that she will have the sum of £42 before November 9, that her appeal to Lord Brougham "had this good effect - That it put our business into the hands of one of the cleverest men in England Mr. Bellenden Kerr [sic]" and that he discussed the subject of Mrs. [Anne] Dunbar's accounts with him in July; asking her if she can send him a copy of a deed of Mrs. Dunbar's "under which your right occurs" and if it is certain that Mrs. Dunbar did not make a will.
