Summary
Thanking her for the care she has taken in procuring articles of clothing for her in Paris; expressing her hope that Madame Blaze de Bury will visit Brougham, that her husband Henri will either cancel his planned trip to Saxe-Weimar or complete it in time to allow Madame Blaze de Bury to leave Mrs. [Anne] Dunbar with him, decrying her sense of obligation to Mrs. Dunbar and evident refusal to leave her alone, remarking that she is pleased to hear that Mrs. Dunbar continues to make her recovery and remarking that she may never return to her former active lifestyle, but may look forward to a new life of peace and comfort; saying that she is also happy to learn that "my Rose is freed" from the "cutting & carving we anticipated for her poor ---", and observing that "if she wd. but keep a little quiet, there would be no need of Doctors or Doctor stuff"; writing that she is happy to hear that "all is smooth between you & yr. man" and expressing her love and admiration for Henri Blaze de Bury, and adding "because you hate matrimony, you are very wrong to undervalue such a friend"; describing a process for preparing sticks of carbonized "potassa".
