Summary
Responding to two letters she has received from Rose Blaze de Bury (in which the latter evidently expressed her unhappiness with her current circumstances), stating that she is pained but not surprised by them, as Madame Blaze de Bury is, in her opinion, "so essentially & intensely English" that it is a wonder to her that she resides in Paris "surrounded by elements" not in harmony with her nature, and counseling her to be patient and make the best of her circumstances; advising her on how she might best manage her daughter Yetta, considering whether it would be best to have her "come out" and marry in England, and further advising her, should she decide to do so, to bring Yetta out in "high Catholic society" as it is "the safest and best for a girl in the position of Yetta"; mentioning mutual friends and acquaintances.
