Description
1 item (4 pages) ; 18.1 x 11.4 cm
Notes
Written on black-edged mourning stationery.

Year of writing suggested by internal evidence: references to Madame de Bury's financial arrangements imply that Henrietta Caldwell's sister, Anne Dunbar (1779-1853), is recently deceased; references to transactions to be carried out with the banking house of Strahan [i.e. Stahan, Paul, and Bates] indicate that the letter was written before the failure of that firm in 1855.
