Summary
Wishing that Madame de Bury would try a "water cure" for her health, giving a brief account of the recommended regimen, and adding that her sister Mary had said it was "almost impossible to describe minutely in writing all the apparatus &c"; stating that she has learned from a letter that Madame de Bury has taken up riding for her health, hoping that this will be all that is required, and further urgung her to find someone in Paris "who understands the modern water cure practice"; mentioning that she has received a letter from Lady (Harriot) Abdy describing her arrival in Meiningen; informing her that they have just arrived in Boveridge and that they have received a visit from Sir William Abdy; remarking that the place is looking beautiful and that it brings to mind memories of her mother; noting that her father "feels his loss acutely" and is further saddened by the recent death of an old friend, Mr. Parkins of Hertfordshire; thanking her for her kindness to them while they were in Paris, mentioning a second trip they took to France, and expressing her pleasure at hearing of Madame de Bury's liking for her sister-in-law, (Mary) Eleanor (Caldwell).
