Summary
Saying "...to suit but I am afraid that success would be doubtful. I have, too, a very strong impression that you ought, if possible, to meet Morley's wishes. It would be a good thing for you to have a foot in the Fortnightly. It would be another string in your bow : & you may not as easily find another chance;" adding, in a postscript, "You would have nearly 4 weeks for your article for the Fortnightly, as I know that Morley could give you up to a late day if you arrange with him."
