Saying "With reference to my other letter of today (MA 1617.336) I am instructed to say that while the Members of the Club cannot pay you any fee they will be pleased in the event of your accepting the proposal of the toast, to pay your travelling expenses, and also to pay your Hotel Expenses unless it is arranged that you should be the guest of some Member of the Club, several of whom would be very pleased to make such an arrangement."
