Summary
Hoping to arrange a visit by the Henleys to Glenmorven, apologizing that her "...scheme of getting you into my place at the Gaiety broke down" and commenting on Mounet-Sully and comparing him to other actors; saying "I can not imagine why people do not simply succumb at once & allow him to be unrivaled - Partly I do believe because of the perfection - people want to see tracks of the difficulties overcome - tool marks - & his representation is as if it grew unhindered - perfect nature;" relating details of her day spent in a Sussex village; adding "I am reading much Matthew Arnold - poetry - It is dreary - but has a lovely sound - I think I might read to you sometimes at Glenmorven - I think I am learning to read."
