Summary
Acknowledging her payment of money owed to Caillier; informing her that he cannot be certain of their immediate plans that they are expecting the arrival of 6000 troops from the Crimea, most of them "recovering from that awful Typhus", and that he would like to remove his child before they arrive, and possibly arrive in Paris on the 2nd or 3rd of May; explaining that he is obliged to go from there to Westmoreland, but that the others will probably remain in Paris for 8 to 10 days before moving on to Hollycombe, and from there, to Brougham, where he expects they shall all come together at at the end of June; advising her to visit Brougham in August, as the family will be making a series of visits to "Cumberland Cousins" in June and he will be going to Scotland in July, but that they should all be at Brougham from August onwards.
