Summary
Thanking her for the Millet; saying "What must you think of me if it is you who have sent us the beautiful Beautiful Millet picture - & which has been rejoicing our hearts & eyes for nearly a week - I wrote to my Mother in law thinking it was from her, & only this eve'g I hear from her that she did not send it us, so my thoughts flew to you, as George told me you had so kindly sent a Christmas parcel here - but little did I think that it would contain something so precious & lovely - for which our heartfelt Thanks - dear Mrs. Henley - We are hoping that soon we may see you here - it would be a great pleasure. I write to catch a post at 8 A.M. & feel this is a thanksgiving unworthy of the Millet but with all my heart."
