Summary
Commenting on Henley's recent book of verse; saying "I don't know that anything of yours has struck me so much. Pages 2,6,9,11,13,14,16 and 17 please me greatly. They are wonderfully vivid and genuine. The only defect of the whole (to my mind) is that one is always expecting some deeper note that is never struck. This, however, may not affect others as it does me;" continuing to critique certain lines and choices of words and concluding with several lines that he believes "could not be bettered."
