Summary
Thanking him for his "kind enquiries, and for the book, which I shall get. I am glad to say I am all but well : only a little shaky. When I am quite myself again, I hope we shall find some speedy way of meeting. I cannot believe that you have given up verse. At least, my friends generally say that when they are secretly meditating something more than usually 'grand', epic, homicidal'. I have written little or nothing lately. But how thankful ought we not to be that, in our shortcomings, the poetical horizon is so entirely absorbed, or [illegible] blotted out, by the Ossianic proportions and five editions of the author of the 'Epic of Hades'!"
