Summary
Saying "Yours received. Have been hereabout for a fortnight (Worcestershire) [illegible] & trying to shave with a table knife. Both ankles gone & part of chin. Beautiful spot - all orchards & literary aspirants. Return next week when I'll come out - The Burns essay I have every feeling will be a low & blackguard performance. I'm sure sorry you don't feel right yet but hope the good weather will help you."
