Saying that she has just received his letter, sent via Country Life; writing that she would very much like to undertake translations from German to English, "& have often thought of doing so, as a change now & then from my own writing;" adding that she would like to translate a book recommended by "Mr. Feuchtwanger" (most likely Lion Feuchtwanger), if the publisher did not need it quickly, "[f]or I am at the moment finishing a book of my own;" asking the publisher to respond regarding this idea, the schedule, and the payment she might expect for this work.
