Summary
Thanking Lord Teignmouth for his kind inquiries and responding that he is well, "tho' not so strong [sharp?] as our friend Mr Grand. Indeed few young men are; much less can I expect to be so, who am past my grand Climacteric;" adding that their friend should not play such pranks; mentioning that the money for the Vaudois may be paid at the banks Coutts or Drummonds; saying that he would be happy to share letters he has received on this subject with Teignmouth; writing that his wife Barbara has been suffering from ill health and that he is anxious about her; referring to the consolations of his faith; mentioning his poor eyesight and sending his affectionate remembrances to Lady Teignmouth and their family.
