Informing her that her brother Roscoe died suddenly in the middle of summer and reminisces about her last visit with him; expressing her grief and sharing memories of him; saying that she received two letters from him after the telegram from his wife announcing his death; writing that she is only telling very few close friends; (in manuscript) saying how delighted she is with her book on Church symbolism; requesting that she send another copy so she can forward it to May Virginia who is exiled to a dreary military camp hospital with her husband.
