Writing that she likes her book (Short as any dream) and that she likes its treatment of blood inheritance much better than Orlando (Woolf) and likes its balance between somber facts and positive mood; saying that one weakness is introducing the writer herself which they must talk about, but he really captured the way life rushes by with no regard for persons; (in postscript) appreciating her letter from California and that she has considered moving to San Francisco, but is afraid to do it.
