Writing that she was ready to sail for Germany this week for Mr. McClure, but at the last moment, Judge McClung got nervous and wouldn't let Isabelle go, so Cather leaves for Durango on August 6th instead; announcing that the proofs are all done, but the page proofs were messy so she would rather Sergeant read the book between covers and be more interesting than a mass of proofs; discussing Robert Frost's North of Boston.
