Replying how bored she is when she can't ride or walk because of the wind; saying that her brother, Douglass, is on a run for three days and describes her interactions Tooker, a brakeman who has keeps house and goes out drinking at night, but is a bit talker; talking about what Tooker reads and his background; writing about her fondness for the Mexicans in the area who live south of the tracks; expressing how she doesn't think Sergeant would do well living here; adding that she is off the Flagstaff and the Cliff Dwellers tomorrow.
