Fragment from a longer letter. Writing that "if the Fitz's come out ... they will render me any service so make your mind easy dearest Mam." Commenting on whether her mother should join Anne in England. Stating that she does not want to return to England for her health without Alexander, who "is now so thoroughly disgusted with the Service that if he had the means he would go home tomorrow." Sharing some local gossip and commenting on Sir Walter Scott's novel "Kenilworth," saying that "the 2 first Volumes are not very interesting and the 3d is so horrid I could not sleep after it."
