Summary
Reporting that she "laid still as a mouse all the morning" in order to have the strength to write, and that "this morning neither sickness or nervousness have disturbed me which is saying a great deal because they threw me back last week." Commenting on Charlotte's upcoming wedding, which is to take place on August 25th. Writing that Alexander, as a colonel, is to perform the wedding and expressing her disapproval that it will not be performed by a minister. Reporting that she has received some books form Dr. Grant and that she received a visit from Mrs. Fagan and her young son.
