Summary
Thanking her for "...writing & keeping me aware of how life goes on, which my heart ever craves to know - for I must know when to weep with you & when to rejoice - There are more claims made I see on the patience of the beloved invalid;" asking if they will see Kathleen [O'Meara] saying "I think it will greatly refresh her mind & give birth to so many new ideas;" asking questions about the house at Ashfield and saying she is now "...in my sweet Ellens little cottage - Lilies & roses in profusion all round - but just now such a blustering wind & angry weeping fits of rain - All is in Nature - & all have to find a response to each mood - & perhaps so are taught to be pliable for conditions we cannot conceive in our next larger life - You see elections are giving a majority to Conservatives & unionists."
