Summary
Expressing her frustration that a letter she sent to her 4 months earlier was returned for an incorrect address; wondering "...whether the great cold, w'h I know must come at any rate in snaps even at Washington, affects the dear invalid - I am much better, but still rather a prisoner - I only send the worthless old letter just to show that I was not faithless at that time - I wish I had interesting things to tell you - but Alas! - Yet your dear hearts I know lovingly like to feel mine beating with them."
