Notes
This letter is part of a collection of letters from the Duke and Duchess of Teck, Mary of Teck and two members of their Royal Household, Hélène Bricka and A. Nelson Hood to Dr. William Wilberforce Baldwin. See the collection record for more information.
Written from the "Grand Hotel" on mourning stationery engraved "Bronte / Sicily.
The year of writing is not provided however he writes on the family stationery. He assumed the title of the 5th Duke of Bronte in 1904 on the death of his father. It is possible this letter follows on the previous letter to Baldwin (MA 9781.28) in which he thanked Baldwin for his "kind care" of him.
Mourning envelope to "Doctor W.W. Baldwin / Trinita dei Monte." It appears this letter was hand-delivered to Baldwin in Rome therefore it is likely that Hood was also writing from Rome.
Provenance
Dr. William W. Baldwin; his grandson Nicholas Baldwin; Patricia S. Baldwin.

Saying "With many thanks for your kindness I send the enclosed."
