Summary
Saying "I duly gave the Princess of Wales the little packet of spoons, which you entrusted to my care to take to England; and yesterday Her Royal Highness said she desired me to write on her behalf to say, while explaining that she would have written herself were it not that she is very much occupied, that she is very grateful for the kind gift and thanks you most sincerely for it. She admired the spoons extremely, thinks them very interesting & artistic and is delighted to possess them. I have sent the other spoons to Lady Eva Dugdale as you wished. If not entirely cured of my indisposition, I am very nearly so. I accomplished the journey satisfactorily : in fact felt better almost immediately on leaving Rome - for the change of air. I must render my thanks for your kind care of me & hoping this will find you well."
