Summary
Concerning the health of the Duke of Teck; saying "I am afraid that since you saw the Duke of Teck he is not any better and the quiet of the country after London has not done the good that we hoped might follow. I cannot help fearing that this state may continue & possibly grow worse unless some treatment such as you proposed in London be adopted. This, if still thought to be necessary, should in my opinion be brought to the knowledge of the Duchess by some competent medical authority such as yourself, so that Her Royal Highness may be made aware of the true state of affairs. Would you therefore write her your true & candid opinion; and, if that should coincide with your own, tell her clearly of the urgency of dealing with the matter without loss of time. With many kind messages & hoping your rest has done & is doing you good."
