Summary
Confirming that she has received from her mother a packet of letters via Mr. Palmer; commenting on the failure of Harriet's "little property," the inheritance from her deceased husband Captain Allan Graham; writing of Mr. Palmer's "liberality and friendship for our family", and reporting that Alexander has arranged to defray the costs of Harriet's passage back to England. Writing that she, Alexander, and Mr. Palmer have decided to keep this secret from Harriet due to her "present nervous state." Reporting the she is recovering well from her recent illness, that she is planning to visit her mother next month, and that Alexander wants her mother to return from Agra with her. Asking her mother to send a guard, or alternatively “2 or 3 Chokegdars," to accompany her on her upcoming journey.
