Being a collection of six autograph letters signed from Elizabeth Emily ("Meta") Gaskell to Mr. and Mrs. John W. Field concerning matters social and political and related to the failing health of Mr. Field; describing the visit of the Prince of Wales to Homburg and describing, at length and in detail, an accident on the Matterhorn during her stay in Zermatt.
