Summary
Praising her performance; saying "You were wonderful. I never saw sheer force come over the footlights without words to help it as when you brooded over that frock - it was as if a volcano might burst out of that harmless little table - I daresay you don't know how wonderful you looked too - made me think of a perfect, smooth young leopard - as strong and supple, and wickedly dangerous - Was ever a play so perfectly acted all round? I enjoyed it furiously, though towards the end I felt my soul running out of my fingertips - it was so racking - My very much love and admiration."
