Summary
Discussing the situation in Paris, her move to Prague and the health of her husband and children; thanking her for the kind reception she gave them on their visit to London and relating details of her visit to Paris where the joy she had in seeing her family and friends was diminished by the events and state of affairs there, which still cause her to worry; saying there is a disorganization everywhere and despair on everyone's face, however fear is stopping people from taking action, except for a few courageous people; adding that she left with a heavy heart thinking that some kind of violent action would be the only way to return order to Paris; referring possibly to Marie-Caroline de Bourbon, mother of Henri de Chambord saying that Madame's admirable conduct will not be wasted on her son who will one day recognize its value - if they are able to get her out of the hands of her jailers, they will be able to congratulate themselves for the 'beautiful pages' she is preparing for French history; reporting on the good health of the children in the cold climate of Prague; asking if Lord Durham will replace Palmerston and saying that she hopes it is not true; asking for news of the Walewski family and saying she is anxiously awaiting news of the birth of an heir.
