Discussing the Irish election; saying "What a sad change the Election produced; I am obliged to give up your delightful Company, & then our dear domestic enjoyments, for the Turmoil of an Irish Election - But I am in for it " & I must sit it out - We are advancing in the Polls & are very Sanguine;" describing a fire at the room next to his caused by a candle left burning but which did no damage; sending his love to her and Mrs. Fitzherbert.
