Summary
Referring to letters dated incorrectly and errors with the post; saying she is happy to hear that Aix has been good for her but worrying about her being anywhere without a medical attendant; saying "...your decision of returning to England I regret & rejoice at the same moment - I regret it, as I do like being abroad, particularly till the Winter, but at the same time your being at Paris or any where out of reach of your medical attendants prevents my ever enjoying your being abroad entirely - so that I cannot wish you to lengthen your stay on the Continent nor can I like being in a different country for any length of time, so that on the whole I feel you have decided for the best & we are now anxious to hear your further plans that ours may follow accordingly;" discussing the possible houses they may rent in London when they return; saying she has no more news except to say "...that we are all well & like this place very much - we went yesterday to Versailles to see the Water works - do you remember our going there with [illegible];" concluding with more social news of mutual friends.
