Summary
Expressing her unhappiness at not receiving a letter from her since the 18th; relating news of social activities and saying they are going to pay a visit on Massey Dawson who bears a resemblance to the Duke of York; saying of him "...as for him, it would, I am sure, make you quite melancholy to be with him, in both looks mama, & voice he is so like the poor Duke of York - it is quite wonderful his thick nervous way of speaking & profile, only not so handsome. I asked him yesterday if it had not been remarked & he told me he always avoided going by the gate at Hampton House when he was going to the House of Commons as the Guard usually turned out & that old Queen Charlotte had remarked him at some fete & sent to inquire who it was she took for Frederick;" adding her travel plans and commenting again on the politics of the Reform Bill.
