Notes
The place of writing is not provided however it appears Mary Seymour is writing from London.
The letter is undated however a penciled notation below the 2nd address panel says "Dawson sent to West Indies Nov. 1822 to early 1824."
Detached address leaf with seal to "Hon'ble / George Dawson / No. 4 Bennet St. / St. James" with an additional address leaf with a wafer and addressed in an unknown hand to "The Hon'ble / George Dawson / St. Vincents / To be forwarded."

Summary
Discussing the difficulties of their arranging to meet one another; saying that because of the weather she is unlikely to meet him in the Gardens, that her sister is uncomfortable with them meeting at her house without her brother's permission and referring to "...anything unpleasant as it only causes additional difficulties to our most painful position;" continuing to discuss an opportunity for them to meet.
