Summary
Discussing the death of Lady Flora Hastings and its effect on the Queen; saying "I am glad Lady F's funeral passed without tumult...She must have died but it is reputed her Death was hastened by exertion - However she may be it has done the Court great harm, but to this day, there has been no [illegible] feeling shown - as the Queen riding out - Her M: looked, I am told, for I did not go up with the address - very ill & cross yesterday - produced by the churn of the populace to the Procession & the hosting of the Ministers - The latter removed, after the Peers had withdrawn & drove away at the same time the Band of the Guard of Honor was playing & the [illegible] called out to them to play the Rogues March - conceive the change within six years! I dont find as much fault as others with the answer but dread 8 or 10 new Peers - as it was the mode taken last time of showing Her M's displeasure - Some people think they will dissolve in the Autumn - & if Melbourne's really wishes, either to be strengthened or to go out - it is his only mode;" relating more political and social news.
