Summary
Saying that he sent him a telegram because the paintings are going to arrive before Christmas--a crazy idea, perhaps, since few people have the leisure to be concerned about paintings during the holidays which so absorb people in Anglo-Saxon countries. Each painting he's sending can be in the exhibition. Among them is what he calls the masterpiece of his recent work. The paintings [listed by size] are: Still life in Ménerbes, Flowers, Flowers, Landscape "flowers," Landscape [of] Agrigento, Landscape [in the] Vaucluse, Landscape with bottles, Agrigento, Vaucluse, and Still life. He says that Rosenberg should be very strict about hanging the paintings. In the next shipment, Rosenberg will receive one or two large nudes and some medium-sized paintings in greater numbers for his apartment in New York.
