Summary
Saying that there's no reason to organize a new exhibition if the paintings don't represent something new since the previous year. Fortunately for him [de Stael], he has a still life in Ménerbes [a village in the Vaucluse], a nude that is almost completed, and some paintings of flowers that he would have been unable to paint earlier. If Rosenberg can wait to receive 15 paintings by the end of January, he thinks that Rosenberg will be able to mount an exhibition [of his work]. He'll then have a choice of 40 canvases, including the ones he's sold since July. He thanks Rosenberg for sending him Driole's article. Included is a copy of a receipt signed by his wife.
