The date of writing is not provided but it appears it was between June 17, 1837 when Lord Munster arrived at Windsor Castle and June 19th when his father's condition worsened.

Summary
Giving an update on the condition of his father; saying he is better than he expected to find him, his legs much less swollen; adding that he had eaten "a very hearty Dinner, that he and his father had a very good meeting and "...no one was there & we sat down & talked just as if we had met every day...I think so well of the King that if the Public had not been equally cajoled - I should say it was a scheme of my Friends to [illegible] me into a reconciliation;" concluding the letter in a postscript saying "Tho' we had a terrible Evening & great alarm and difficulty & restlessness in the early part of the night, the King has slept well towards morning & has risen to day with improved strength."
