Summary
Expressing his gratitude for her letter; saying "I am always to be obliged to you, and never to find means of evincing or proving my gratitude - a note of kindness - is a draught of water in the desert in this time of trouble and uneasiness - Between two duties it is difficult to choose - but it is consolation & support to think two persons, like yourself and Lady Munster are of one mind & feeling - but - I must judge for myself...at present, I think I ought to support both...I think I shall go to Town tomorrow - if it be only for a few hours as I have some pressing Business - but it will be after the arrival of the returning Medical men... / 11 o clock / The King has passed the day better than yesterday & is far better than last night at this time. But I wish I could assure myself He has not lost power since yesterday morning. However, within the last 2 hours his pulse is stronger...Good night."
