Summary
Expressing her sadness at her departure, thanking her for all her kind attention and saying she understands "...how much you are wish'd for where you are & how many things you have to do to settle yourself in your new habitation where I hope very shortly to join you - I am much better with respect to my lameness & am now able to walk about my room so that I hope shortly to get upon my legs again. Yr. chicks are all now settling by me with a table before them drawing, writing & amusing themselves...I have not the least intention of leaving this place till the week after this therefore dont be in any hurry about your children;" relating news of family and hoping she had a safe Journey.
