Neither the date or place of writing are provided, however it appears from previous correspondence (see MA 3498.173 and MA 3498.174) that she is writing from Clarendon and according to this letter her arrival was on Wednesday which would be November 5th. She refers in this letter to having been in bed since Friday (November 7th) so this letter would have been written after November 7, 1835.

Summary
Reporting that she has arrived but that due to bad weather on her journey she caught a bad cold which resulted in a bilious attack which has confined her to bed; saying "I have not been able to quit my bed or my room & feel myself quite wretched at coming here like a plague to every one;" saying she plans to return to Tilney Street which means she must give up her plans to visit them but hopes that they will join her in Brighton.
